1/22/2007 Just finished putting this website up.  A venture for me, with help from my good friend and fellow writer Dale Rhodes, who also has a site on squarespace.  I've been putting off doing this because I assumed it would be too hard.  It isn't.  Thank you, Dale, and thank you creators of squarespace. Welcome to all visitors.

2/5/2007 Added new short story and poem plus a My Favorite Scribes page.  It's great to be able to promote other writers whose work I admire, and who have been so instrumental in knocking me into shape!  A small way to say thank you.

2/27/2007 The Next Big Writer page is up and filling fast.  Some fascinating writers honored my web site with their links.  Posted a new blog with trepidation.  Something that's been nagging me for a while.  It helps if I put my clumsy thoughts into the written form, groping around for clarity as it were.

9/1/2007 Tinkered a bit more with my poem The Shell.  Entered it into the Ocean Competition on thenextbigwriter.com and just learned it won the poetry section!   Took me by surprise, as there were a number of very fine poems entered.  I"m pleased, as this particular poem arose out of the tragedy of Iraq, and all the lives lost there, both ours and theirs.  The poem can be viewed on TNBWpublishing.com or on this site.

02/07/2009 Website undergoing redesign, so its a bit choppy!

8/27/2009 Created a Facebook account today. Some marvellous writers from The Next Big Writer have signed on as my friends!  I need all the friends I can get! Writing is a lonely profession! New book underway. The Willow Tree of Tullamaine, although well liked, has been put aside for now.
